The proposed development will be located on bogs within the Ballivor Bog Group in counties Meath and Westmeath, namely Ballivor, Bracklin, Carranstown, Lisclogher and Lisclogher West bogs.
The closest large settlements to the site are Ballivor which is located approximately 2 km to the east, Delvin which is located approximately 2.5 km to the northwest and Raharney which is located 3 km to the west.
